We are O&K Production — an independent creative duo born in Russia and Romania, shaped by Europe, and now creating in New York. Our artistic roots go deep: we were raised on the poetic silence of Andrei Tarkovsky, the emotional precision of Ingmar Bergman, and the visual boldness of Federico Fellini. From early on, we were drawn to directors who didn’t just tell stories — they sculpted time, space, and memory.
Our education and artistic upbringing were steeped in the discipline of Russian theatre, the introspection of European cinema, and the raw expressiveness of filmmakers like Krzysztof Kieślowski, Jean-Luc Godard, and Lars von Trier. As we grew, our creative language evolved to also embrace the dynamic storytelling of Martin Scorsese, the humanism of Richard Linklater, and the visual mastery of Terrence Malick and David Fincher.
This collision of East and West shaped our approach: deeply emotional, visually intentional, and narratively daring. We are not interested in surface — we strive to reach the psychological core of a scene, a character, a moment. Whether through film, theatre, or interdisciplinary work, our goal is to create experiences that linger, challenge, and connect.
As a husband-and-wife team, we work through trust, contradiction, dialogue, and shared obsession. Every story we tell is handcrafted — not for the algorithm, but for the audience. For those who want to feel, to see beauty in tension, and to remember what it means to be human.
O&K Production is where Russian depth, European intellect, and American momentum meet — in every frame, every word, and every silence.
